John and Joe

Unfinished

It started back oh about a hundred years ago
With a farmer named John and fisher named Joe

John said to Joe "Hey where do you go?,
Tell me please cause I want to know!"

Joe thought of why he stays out all night...
and said to John "That when the fishes bite"

John nodded his head and he walked away
Joe wiped his brow and went about his day
When the work is long, the night comes soon
and what was the sun, now is the moon.

The clock rang 9 times and then once more
and there went Joe, leaving out the door.

The next day, John woke up as joe walked in
then John asked Joe "How was the fishin?"

Joe looked at John, with a nervous stare.
"Not many bites, but the water was fair"

John nodded his head and he walked away
Joe wiped his brow and went about his day
When the work is long, the night comes soon
and what was the sun, now is the moon.

When 10 rolled around, there went Joe
But john had a secret plan that joe didn't know

john was up when joe came home
and john asked him "How'd the fishin' go?"

Joe once again with a nervous sigh
said "I hooked a big one but he broke my line"

John chuckled to himself, cause he knew he caught Joe
"You couldn't of gone fishin, i hid your pole"
